Massage therapy influences the nervous system by promoting parasympathetic activity and reducing sympathetic nervous system dominance. This shift helps decrease muscle tension, lower heart rate, and support overall relaxation, contributing to improved physical and mental well-being. This makes massage a wonderful addition to those living with conditions such as PTSD.
